We are moving. And we need your help.

My Sister’s Closet has served over 4,000 women in Monroe County since 1998 — helping mothers and grandmothers find employment, rebuild their confidence, and create stable futures for their families.

Our lease ends in August 2026. We’ve secured our new building and completed Phase 1 — and Phases 2 through 4 require an additional $2,085,000 to complete.

Your gift today helps ensure that women who are one step away from a job, a home, and a fresh start don’t lose the only place in this community built specifically for them.

Meet Denise

Denise, a 24-year-old mother, suddenly found herself disabled and the sole provider for her six-year-old daughter after surviving a fatal car accident. Unable to return to her previous job, Denise and her child faced the very real threat of homelessness.

My Sister’s Closet helped Denise reimagine what employment could look like in her new circumstances. With support from an MSC Resume Mentor, she developed a resume that clearly translated her skills into a new industry. Her MSC Speech and Presentation Coach also helped her confidently navigate difficult interview questions about her disability and life changes.

With this support, Denise interviewed for a position aligned with her passions. Today, she is successfully working from home in a job she loves—one that provides financial stability while allowing her to care for her daughter.
