Celebration of Service Fundraiser - Alex Cartwright - Bomber Jacket WWII

Join us Saturday, November 12th at 5:30, for a Celebration of Service event at the American Legion Burton Woolery Post #18, at 1800 W. 3rd Street in Bloomington. Come celebrate our courageous Veterans, military and emergency personnel, and the Front Line Workers who kept us safe during the Pandemic.

This fabulous night of fun will feature:

  • Dance to 1940s Swing/Jazz numbers from the big band sounds of the SHYAAM AKASHA BAND
  • Bloomington’s own, CONNIE SHAKALIS, as “ROSIE THE RIVETER” as our evening’s lively comedy emcee.

All proceeds for this event will support the free community services provided by My Sister’s Closet of Monroe County, whose primary funding was hit especially hard during the Pandemic. MSC provides tools and training to determined women who are making serious efforts to move out of poverty; many of whom are veterans and front line workers.
