My Sister’s Closet internship program offers:

  • Transferable job skills for various industries
  • Flexible schedules
  • Interns enjoy a 30% discount and $1/hour merchandise credit
  • Letter of recommendation provided upon internship completion

Requirements:

  • College Students must complete a minimum of 120 hours
  • High School Students must complete a minimum of 60 hours

 

Internship Positions

Journalism & PR Management

  • Write thank-you letters and articles covering MSC’s programming, events, and volunteer experiences
  • Must have proficiency in persuasive writing skills

Social Media & Online Marketing

  • Assist in managing MSC’s social media, website, and online store

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Aid in planning details for upcoming public events to generate funding for our community programming

Donor Data Management & Analytics

  • Organize and manage information for donors, event participants, and volunteers

Non-Profit Development & Engagement

Grants & Fund Development

  • Facilitate timely communications, thank-you letters, and data for grant applications
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to track and raise funds for My Sister’s Closet
  • Preference given to graduate-level SPEA students

Supply Chain & Inventory Management 

  • Maintain and organize back stock room for quick and efficient retrieval of stock items
  • Ability to lift bags and totes of at least 20 lbs

E-Commerce Marketing & Operations

Apparel Merchandising & Visual Displays

Retail Boutique & Sales Management

  • Active role in customer interactions, display creation, clothing donation processing, and store organization
  • Retail experience is not required; training will be provided
