Client Clothing Voucher Program

In addition to pre-apprenticeship programming, women may receive clothing, undergarments, and basic hygiene products with a voucher. Referring agencies can approve a client for up to five (5) outfits for interview and workforce attire.

A referring agency must verify that the client is:

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Residing or working in Monroe County
  • Enrolled in a job search program, or can provide proof of current employment
  • Considered to be at-risk or have a household income of 30% below Federal Income Standards

A voucher is valid for 3 months from the issue date.

A second clothing voucher cannot be received for 24 months.

Making Your Image Consulting Appointment

Once a voucher has been received, the referring agency should make an appointment for the client to meet with the MSC case manager for an intake. Then, an MSC Image Consultant will assist with choosing appropriate clothing for an interview or workforce attire.

APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED:

  • Allow at least 2 hours for the appointment
  • Appointments are available Tuesday – Friday between 10 am – 3:30 pm

Please bring the following to the appointment:

  • My Sister’s Closet of Monroe County’s voucher form
  • A state-issued picture ID: Driver’s License or State ID
  • Most recent resume (if available)
