When a single mom works 65 hours a week while juggling 3 PT jobs, she might just end up in the hospital. Don’t think so? Well, just ask Anita. When we asked, “What would you do if you could change your life?”, she said, “I wish I had finished high school!” Leaving high school early, whether it’s because of an unplanned pregnancy, or difficult family circumstances; not having that degree is a big disadvantage in the workplace. With help from MSC, Anita is now on her way. She has a donated laptop, and only one job, but it’s a good one! And yes, MSC also helped her enroll in classes to get her H.S. Core 40.
